Industrial Wastewater Treated to the Standard Your Licence Requires.

Industrial effluent arrives at the treatment plant with a composition specific to the process that generated it — high COD, high TDS, colour, suspended solids, heavy metals, or biological loading — and it must leave at a quality that meets SPCB discharge standards or ZLD obligations. A generic treatment configuration will not achieve this reliably.

GSI's packaged effluent treatment plants are configured to the specific effluent characterisation of each industrial process — following a full influent analysis as part of our site diligence framework before any design decision is made. Treatment typically progresses across a primary stage (physical-chemical or screening), a biological membrane stage (MBR or MBBR), and where ZLD is mandated, high-recovery RO (HRRO) followed by evaporation. Configuration is determined by effluent quality, recovery target, and applicable regulatory obligation.
